Meditation

Jesus said to Simon, “Put out into the deep water
and let down your nets for a catch”. Simon answered,
“Master we have worked all night long, but have caught nothing.
Yet if you say so I will let down the nets”.
When they had done this caught so many fish that their nets
were beginning to break.”
Luke 5: 4-7

Simon Peter and all who were with him were amazed.
Then Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid; from now on
you will be catching people”.
Luke 5: 10-11

Reflection

Commitment is about readiness, willingness to give ourselves fully and without reservation to the person and mission of Jesus Christ, in a spirit of joy, faith and trust.

Prayer

Lord, can you really use me to serve in your plan
for the salvation of peoples? On my own I am unable,
but with you I can become a servant of Good News.
Let your Holy Spirit lead me, guide me, consecrate me. Amen
