Vocation Meditation - March 30
2nd Sunday of Easter

Used with permission from ChristianComputerArt.Com

It was the evening on the day Jesus rose from the dead, the first day of the week, and the doors of the house where the disciples had met were locked for fear of the authorities. Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you." After he said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord.

The disciples already heard from Mary Magdalene that she has seen the Lord in the early morn of that day. Evening seeped in and yet the Easter message remained in the room where they had gathered. Their minds, hearts and the doors were locked by their experience of fear. The witness of Mary Magdalene was not enough. They needed to see Jesus! Here now was their Easter first-hand experience! Jesus stood among them, risen and real! He brought them His Peace that shattered all fears and disbelief. With Easter Peace, came Easter Joy!

Vocation Challenge:
Peace be in your heart!
Name the fears that can lock up your capacity to rejoice in Jesus present among us.
